Small Animal Internal Medicine
Dr. Hammer is a native New Englander who did her undergraduate degree at Tufts University in MA. She went on to veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2000. She then spent a year at Mississippi State University for a small animal rotating internship and returned to the University of Pennsylvania for a small animal internal medicine residency. Dr. Hammer achieved board certification in small animal veterinary internal medicine in 2004. She spent the next 20 years at a private referral practice and led a volunteer blood bank, establishing an interventional radiology and endoscopy program. With 15 years of ultrasound experience and 20 years of internal medicine experience, she now brings her skills to City By The Sea Vet on a referral basis. In her free time she enjoys snowboarding, time at the shore, hockey, and traveling.
